The Prince George Service Canada Centre for Youth will be hosting different tables around the city to promote its annual Odd Job Week, from July 5 to 9.
The centre has postings for full and part-time work, but this is the busiest time of year for casual labour.
"It's around this time that people are really looking for help for odd jobs around the house, and we want to let everyone know that we also provide services for casual labour," said Kyle Flannagan, youth services officer.
The SCCY is encouraging youth to sign up with their Odd Job Squad, which could include work such as lawn work, clerical duties, painting or even flyer distribution.
"Casual labour jobs can last from a couple of hours to a few weeks," said Flannagan.
The salary is up to the homeowners and employers, and offers great experience for the student.
SCCY also offers students help with their resumes and cover letters.
There are currently 126 vacancies posted at the centre, said Flannagan, which is roughly the same as last year.
There will be a mobile office/information table set up Wed., July 7 from noon to 4 p.m. at Save on Foods in College Heights, and at Canadian Tire on Thurs. July 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Also this week, everyone who posts a casual job will be entered a draw for a homeowner prize pack.
