What: A picturesque sea of sunflowers and photo stations plus treats and activities out at Foreman Farms. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gates.

When: Aug. 10 to Sept. 10, hours vary per day.

What: PGARA Invitational stock car racing - street stocks, pro minis, mini stocks, hornets, Legend Cars.

When: Time trials at 6 p.m., racing at 7.

What: Saturday’s line up features Powder Blues Band, Nick Gilder, Chilliwack, & April Wine. Tickets at tickesnorth.ca.

When: 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Vineyards Hike with the Caledonia Ramblers

What: The Caledonia Ramblers will be leading an moderate hike up to the Vineyards and along the ridge on Saturday, Aug. 12th. Participants should bring a day backpack, sufficient water or perhaps something else to drink, lunch and snacks, extra clothing, insect repellent, gaiters and perhaps sunscreen, hiking poles and bear spray.

Where: Please meet in the parking lot behind Prince George City Hall.

When: 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time of 8:30 a.m. The carpool fee is $14. For more information contact Annie at: 250-613-6142

Lost Lake Large Look Hike with the Caledonia Ramblers

What: The Caledonia Ramblers will be leading an Easy/Moderate (B2c) hike along the Lost Lake Large Loop trail in Beaverley, just southwest of Prince George, on Saturday, Aug. 12th. 

Where: Please meet in the parking lot behind Prince George City Hall.

When: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Burden with Honour Bound and Madbom at Omineca

What: The Burden have their first hometown show in over 3 years! Celebrate their new album “Terminal” along with bands Honour Bound & Madbomb. Tickets: $15 in advance | $20 at the door

Stephanie Claussen, Harpist, in concert

What: Known for her evocative and nuanced playing, Minnesota harpist Stephanie Claussen tells stories with her music. Join her as she shares a program of traditional Scottish and Irish tunes, plus a few surprises! Admission is pay-what-you-can.
