Theatre North West presents I, Claudia until Oct. 16. The opening season play finds Claudia a 12 -year-old girl in her secret hideaway at her elementary school dealing with her dad, her step-mom and her own life. This comedy has won two Canadian Comedy Awards, a Gemini, an ACTRA award, Sterling Award and two Dora Awards. The play is presented every night except Mondays. There is a massive hip hop event at the Rum Jungle tonight. The show will feature
up and coming hip hop star Evil Ebenezer, whose Take Me with You video can be seen on MuchMusic. Local favourites Jellis C & Shae Morin, newcomer Verbz in tha Mix and the Quesnel Hip Hop act Ill Literate will also perform. There is a $10 cover charge.

Jesse Dee and Jacquie B, a roots duo from Wells, will be performing tonight at Nancy O's, 1261 Third Ave., at 8 p.m. This duo has performed in Prince George often and will make a stop before heading east for a tour that begins with a train ride from Edmonton.
Girl Guides of Canada will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a party for everyone ever involved with the organization on Saturday at Fort George Park. The event for former members of guides and scouts as well as the public takes place from 3 to 4:30 p.m. for a scheduled sing along and cake and ice cream. Current members of Guides will enjoy a day of activity beginning at 11 a.m.
Steven Palmer, roots artist, will be performing at Meow Records, #100 300 Brunswick Street, Saturday at 8 p.m. with special guest Dawn Boudreau. Tickets are $10.
The Mennonite Fall Fair will take place Saturday at the Civic Centre from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come and enjoy a great meal and shop for quality new and used items. Take-away food sale items include Winkler farmer sausage, perogies, local and Okanagan produce, fair-trade coffee and home baking, jams and preserves. There are also craft booths, a silent auction in the morning, used clothing, books and garage sale items.
Prince George's 29th annual Toy Run for the Salvation Army will be held Sunday at the CN Centre parking lot at noon. Riders will begin the run at 1 p.m travelling along Ospika to Tyner and Foothills Boulevards up to Highland Drive and Chief Lake Road, returning to CN Centre. The public is invited to join the bikers at CN Centre for hot dogs and coffee and are encouraged to donate a toy to the cause.
The 10th annual B.C. Rivers Day celebration will take place Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. at Fort George Park. There will be entertainment and information booths and everyone is welcome to attend this free event to celebrate B.C. waterways.
