College Heights falls to Kamloops in high school football playoff

Nechako Valley Vikings host Westsyde of Kamloops on Saturday at Masich Place Stadium

The College Heights Cougars’ season ended in a 21-13 BCSSFA wildcard playoff loss to the visiting South Kamloops Saturday at Masich Place Stadium.

College Heights had a chance to force overtime with a last-minute drive that had the Titans backed deep into their own territory, but Thomas Nowicki intercepted a Keegan Shiels pass in the end zone to seal the victory.

The Titans advance to a quarterfinal this Saturday against the Vernon Panthers.

The P.G. Bowl-champion Nechako Valley Vikings of Vanderhoof will face the Westsyde Whudas of Kamloops this Saturday at noon in a B.C. Secondary School Football Association quarterfinal playoff game at Masich Place Stadium.

Westyde defeated the Prince George Polars 49-7 Saturday in Kamloops.
