The kids are alright, and the Prince George Cougars would love to have them aboard.
Unfortunately for the Cougars, the priorities of those midget-aged players lie with their midget teams, and not with the team that could give them future employment in the Western Hockey League.
What that means is the Cats will be on their own this weekend at CN Centre when they host the Portland Winterhawks in a two-game set at CN Centre tonight (7 p.m.) and Saturday. That's not such a bad thing if they play like they did Wednesday in a 4-2 win over the visiting Kamloops Blazers.
