A Prince George man was arrested for allegedly trying to make off with a trove of items from a local electronic store.
RCMP said Carl Frederick Jays, 39, was apprehended sometime after police were called to a Southridge Avenue shop and evidence led them to locate a suspect riding a bike on Highway 16 near Vance Road.
Jays was arrested without incident and the items were returned to the business, RCMP said.
Jays faces one count each of breaking, entering and committing a theft, possessing a break-in instrument and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Jays, who also faces a count of break and enter from an alleged June 12 incident, remains in custody on a detention order.
