Gusts topple light poles at Freeman Park

The high winds that blew through the city this week reaped at least one casualty.

A pair of light poles toppled onto the fence surrounding the Chuck Cawdell baseball diamond in Freeman Park.

By Thursday afternoon a crew from Allteck Line Contractors Inc. in the process of removing the poles.

Gusts measured as much as 68 km/h on Wednesday, according to Environment Canada.
