City cleans up after latest Moccasin Flats fire

Several fires have occurred in the encampment in recent weeks

The site of the latest tiny-home fire in Moccasin Flats was cleaned up by a city crew on Wednesday.

A skid steer was used to haul the blackened timbers to a nearby dumpster. The job took about an hour.

Eight of 17 rough tiny homes built for downtown encampment residents by volunteers over past year have been lost to fires in the past several weeks.
