If you're a regular visitor to Forests For The World, you're likely going to notice some newer wood on the water.

The City of Prince George is installing a new dock on Shane Lake to replace the older one, which was roughly 30 years old and was starting to rot and show signs of aging.

The new structure is also slightly larger.

The city is asking people to avoid the area as the dock still needs permanent anchoring and connections to the shore.

Prince George crews will also be making improvements to some trails over the next few days.

For more information, you can visit the parks page on the city's website.
