Places of worship in Prince George have entered the world of digital fellowship in the last couple of weeks as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Churches have taken that very step in continuing to provide a platform for those that regularly congregate, especially with Easter scheduled for this weekend.
As B.C. Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry has ordered the cancellation of gatherings with 50 people or more, events, businesses and organizations have had to switch to online sources to reach local residents until further notice.
"In addition, we know that there's a very important time coming up for many people of different faiths," Henry said at a news conference on Tuesday (April 7).
"We need to think about what we can do to support people in practicing their faith without having to have in-person gatherings."
