What do I have in common with this extremely old record player?
We both fall under the vintage category, although this guy's probably pushing closer to antique than I am yet.
Something I’ve learned over the last few months is determining the difference between antique and vintage.
To be antique, you have to be over 100 years old, and to be vintage, you have to be over 20 years old.
So like a fine wine, I still fall under the vintage category and I’m perfectly okay with that!
Thrift stores are known hideouts for antique and vintage items.
We often see several things daily that fall under these categories.
Google becomes your best friend when determining the era, value and uniqueness of these items.
Like this Rogers Majestic radio/record player!
We know it’s around 80 years old, it’s a bit worn, but was obviously a very cherished piece.
It’s now sitting in our store looking for someone who wants to put a bit of TLC into this very cool vintage piece.
Enjoy your long weekend folks and if you’re searching for a story take a stroll through your neighborhood thrift store.
