There’s a Kindness and Peace rally set for Saturday at 1 p.m. at City Hall in response to the recent national and world events, including the occupation of Ukraine.
A group of caring Prince George citizens are hosting the rally, inviting the public to show their gratitude for the science Canadians have access to, the democracy, the diversity of the community in which we live and all the sacrifices people have made during the pandemic to keep the communities safe.
The public is invited to this friendly gathering and can bring along pro-science, pro-peace, and pro-democracy signs, while wearing a mask, and are also encouraged to invite friends, bring a lawn chair to enjoy some safe solidarity time and spread kindness.
The event will celebrate health care workers, the strength of the community coming together, and there will be a moment of silence in recognition of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
