Big, big news for all you superhero fans out there, but you may not want to get this worldly-known smasher angry.
Northern FanCon announced this week that Lou Ferrigno, the original Incredible Hulk, will be attending the show’s fifth year in Prince George.
The actor will be making his first-ever appearance in B.C.’s northern capital, taking photos, signing autographs, and chatting with fans during the three-day convention that celebrates popular culture, movies, and entertainment.
Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Ferrigno’s acting career has spanned over four decades, mostly recognized for playing Dr. Bruce Banner’s alter-ego in The Incredible Hulk television series, which ran for five seasons between 1977 and 1982.
The now 67-year-old took to the small screen after an on-and-off bodybuilding career that he officially retired from in 1996, which got him discovered for the role of the Hulk.
Since then, he’s appeared in other notable movies and TV shows, such as Hercules, Sinbad of the Seven Seas, Pumping Iron with Arnold Schwarzenegger, The King of Queens, Reno 911!, and Sharknado 3.
Also, those growls you hear from Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk in all the Avengers movies?
Ferrigno provided his voice for those as well, albeit an uncredited contribution.
You can meet the first Hulk from May 3-5 at the CN Centre.
