There's a new non-stop flight leaving YXS starting in the fall.
The Prince George Airport Authority announced today (Aug. 20) Pacific Coastal Airlines will be adding non-stop service from Prince George to Victoria on Saturdays.
In the close to five years Pacific Coastal Airlines has flown between the two cities, this will be the first Saturday flight offered.
Service officially starts Oct. 12 and is currently available to book.
The Saturday flight will leave Victoria at 10:50 a.m. and arrive in Prince George at 12:30 p.m.
The flight will then leave Prince George at 1 P.M., arriving back in Victoria at 2:40.
“It is terrific news that Pacific Coastal is extending their non-stop service between Prince George and Victoria to seven days a week," John Gibson, President & CEO of the Prince George Airport Authority says in a release. "Thirteen non-stop flights a week will make it easier to do business or visit family on Vancouver Island."
This past June, Pacific Coastal Airlines upped their Victoria services from once a day Sunday through Friday to twice daily Sunday through Friday services.
More capacity is also being added to the route as evening service on Fridays and Sundays are being upgraded to the 30-seat Saab 340 aircraft effective Oct. 6, 2019.
