Tonight's (April 15) 7 p.m. frontline worker cheers in Prince George were met with bigger sounds and arguably a longer vehicle line-up.
The University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) was greeted by local first responders, volunteers and other essential workers to show their appreciation for healthcare professionals in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Yellowhead Road and Bridge (YRB) organized the parade that started at the CN Centre, made its way towards Fifth Avenue, eventually getting to UHNBC before marching towards the Gateway area, turning north on Highway 97 at Mr. PG and passing the College of New Caledonia before reaching the Rainbow Care Home on Liard Drive.
Drummers played as vehicles were driving by the front entrance of UHNBC.
Dozens of neighbouring residents also took in the procession.
