Ice skaters rejoice!
The Prince George Outdoor Ice Oval opened today (Jan. 3) at 12 p.m. for the first time this new year (and decade).
The Oval Society credits the ice crew for performing 'another miracle' after mild weather closed the facility on New Year's Eve (Dec. 31).
Winter's overnight snowfall and colder conditions assisted crews in resurfacing the ice.
Residents coming to skate are being advised there may be a little bit of snow around the oval.
Before today's opening, the Prince George Outdoor Ice Oval has seen over 6,000 visitors since Nov. 30.
This was the oval's third closure of the winter season.
You can find more information on skate rentals and season passes to the facility on the Ice Oval's website.
