Three people, including two priority offenders, were arrested this weekend by the Prince George RCMP Street Unit Crew after executing a controlled drugs and substances act search warrant.

On Sunday (Aug. 9), two men and one woman, all local residents, were taken into custody following the search of a Kenwood Street home near Connaught Hill Park, which led to the seizure of a significant amount of fentanyl, cocaine and cash, along with a loaded handgun, shotgun and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Colin Michaud Durrand, 29, Damiond Rain Sutherland, 22, and Angeline Louise Hammerstrom, 40, have all been charged by the BC Prosecution Service with failing to comply with a release order in relation to previous, yet separate incidents.

Durrand was also arrested for having several outstanding arrest warrants stemming from nine separate incidents since July 2019.

Sutherland was held in custody and will appear in court later today (Aug. 11), but Durrand and Hammerstrom remain in custody and are scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 18.

Durrand and Hammerstrom have a history of violence and are classified as 'priority offenders' with Prince George Mounties.

Police say the drug trafficking investigation is continuing and once completed, it'll be disclosed to the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada for charge assessment.
