Prince George weather forecast predicts sunny and warm Labour Day weekend

Cooling trend will bring more showers late Monday and early next week

Warm summer weather is expected for the start of the Labour Day weekend and the Nechako River will be a popular place for tubers. But be prepared for a bit of rain later in the afternoon on Sunday and cooler weather on Monday.

The weather should ne ideal for outdoor enthusiasts in the Prince George area heading out to go camping or to hit the lakes, rivers, hiking and biking trails.

You won't need your umbrellas or raincoats for the annual Hit-To-Pass demolition derby at PGARA Speedway Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.

Environment Canada has revised its forecast and is predicting sunny skies for the next three days and most of Labour Day Monday. Highs are predicted to reach 24 C today and Saturday, 18 C on Sunday and 17 C on Monday.

There’s a 40 per cent chance of showers Monday evening and more showers expected Tuesday and Wednesday.

But be prepared for some cool nights. Lows will be in the 4-9 C range the next three days.
