Power has been restored at UNBC.

The university says evening classes this evening (Nov. 15) will take place as scheduled.

Power remains out at the Prince George campus.

Crews are still working to fix the issue, but the university says they have no clear time when power will be restored.

As a result, all classes are cancelled until 5 p.m. at the earliest. The library is also closed.

UNBC says classes are cancelled until noon due to the power outage.

9 a.m.

The power is out at the University of Northern British Columbia.

Matt Wood, the school's director of marketing and communications, says B.C. Hydro is on scene.

"Something has gone wrong with the power feed into our Prince George campus," he tells PrinceGeorgeMatters. "B.C. Hydro is still trying to diagnose and correct the issue."

There's no estimated time as to when power may be restored. As a result, all classes are cancelled until 10 a.m. at the earliest.

Wood says employees are expected to report to work.

"This is such a fluid situation. It'll change potentially by the hour."

An emergency power generator is being used for emergency lighting.
