If you're travelling on Highway 97 between Prince George and Williams Lake today (April 21), there are certain sections along the way you'll want to take extra caution.
Drive BC is reporting several floodings between the two cities as warmer temperatures have already begun rapid snowmelt, causing local rivers to overflow near the roads.
There's single-lane alternating traffic in McLeese Lake at Beaver Lake Road, roughly 30 km north of Wildwood, and traffic patrol is on scene.
There's no estimated time on when the highway will be fully open.
UPDATE - #BCHwy97 - The highway is now in single lane alternating traffic at McLeese Lake due to flooding, between #PrinceGeorgeBC and #WilliamsLake.

Before you reach that area, drivers are asked to make a note of two washouts.
First, just outside of Prince George between Buckhorn Lake and McRinney Roads; watch for traffic control as well.
The next is 15 km south of Hixon, where water has overflown onto the highway between Naver Creek and Meadow Creek Roads.
Traffic patrol is not at this location, according to Drive BC, so commuters are being encouraged to slow down.
B.C.'s River Forecast Centre currently has flood warnings in effect for the Nazko and West Road Rivers and maintains flood watches on tributaries around Prince George, Quesnel, Williams Lake, Chilako, Alexis Creek, Anahim Lake and Cache Creek.
