A local resident staying at a hotel in the North Shore area of Kamloops suffered serious injuries from an apparent stab wound on Wednesday (May 15).
The 34-year-old man from Prince George was found by RCMP at the Northbridge Hotel was allegedly targeted by multiple suspects, four of which were arrested and three of them charged.
According to a Kamloops RCMP release, the incident occurred between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. on Tranquille Road in the city and now they’re turning to the public in gathering more evidence.
Witnesses and surveillance have already helped police in the case.
After the stabbing, police were able to locate the suspect's vehicle, a black 2013 Chevrolet Avalanche, within minutes of arriving on scene.
Jennifer Manual (36), Devon McConnell (39), and Derek Jensen (33) are each facing one count of aggravated assault.
Evan Davis (24) was also arrested at the house but on outstanding warrants; it's not believed he was involved with the assault, according to the release.
The victim's injuries were considered serious, but it is expected he will survive.
It appears the assault and stabbing are related to local drug activity.
