As of Wednesday (April 15), 22 people who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Health Authority have recovered.
This information comes from the B.C. Centre for Disease Control’s (BCCDC) dashboard that breaks down COVID-19 stats by health authority.
Two new cases were announced yesterday, so Northern Health currently sits at 30 laboratory-confirmed cases and zero deaths.
Of those 30 cases, 22 people have recovered, four are currently hospitalized and one person is currently admitted to ICU.
There have been 2,301 COVID-19 tests administered in the region with four new tests administered yesterday.
The B.C. testing rate is 9,946 per 1,000,000, which is slightly lower than the Canadian testing rate at 12,300 per 1,000,000.
The province is expected to update the statistics at 3 p.m. today (April 16).
