Prince George assembled for what could be the final installment in the Avengers franchise.
What is anticipated to be the crown jewel of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) over 11 years in the making, the first screenings of Avengers: Endgame had local residents, fans, and movie lovers arrive at the Cineplex Theatre as early as 11:30 a.m.

Just before the doors opened, the line-up got to as long as 100 people backed in the Parkwood Plaza all the way to London Drugs.
Prince George resident Daniel Darbon was that first fan in line at the doors and has waited on this movie since the events of Infinity War one year ago.
“It really means a lot because I put a lot of time and effort into being out here,” he told PrinceGeorgeMatters. “Everybody is having a good time and we certainly have since we showed up. We brought lawn chairs and watched movies. We had Spider-Man going on the iPad, we had a Bluetooth speaker; we tried to watch Infinity War, but then everybody else started showing up.”

Like many at the Prince George premiere, and in other cities around the world, Darbon showed up dressed as his favourite Marvel character StarLord, played by Chris Pratt in Guardians of the Galaxy.
“Well, I actually am StarLord,” he said, allegedly joking. “That’s definitely my favourite of all the movies they’ve made. I have very high expectations for this one [Endgame]; it’ll be a great movie.”
Other notable character sightings were Thor, Spider-Man, Drax the Destroyer, Mantis, Scarlett Witch, Black Panther, and Captain America, along with fans wearing clothes in tribute to the MCU.Darbon has been to other movie premieres in the northern capital and is pleased to see the city celebrate the franchise with him and his friends.
The first showing for Avengers: Endgame is 6 p.m. today (April 25), 6:30 p.m. for you 3-D enthusiasts.
