A high-priced mountain bike that went missing from the front of a fast food restaurant has been recovered.
Prince George RCMP appeared to have found the item just in time. They said the bike was missing some parts and was in the process of having the paint and decals removed when police arrived on the scene on Sunday.
A 26-year-old man RCMP said was in possession of the bike was arrested while they remain on the lookout for a 25-year-old woman who allegedly stole the bike on Wednesday after its owner left it unlocked while going into the restaurant on Domano near Highway 16.
She is described at First Nations and was wearing a long sleeve red jacket, blue jeans and carrying a black back pack. The police believe the man arrested - his name was not provided by police - was the one with her when the bike was stolen.
Owners should always lock their bikes with the best locks they can afford, RCMP added.
