The Independent Investigations Office of B.C. (IIO) has once again been deployed to Prince George for another police-involved incident.
The IIO says in a release that Prince George RCMP took an individual into custody on Friday (July 19) at roughly 9:30 p.m. for causing a disturbance
The following day (July 20), the person was found in distress close to 4:30 a.m.
Paramedics were called in and the person was taken to a hospital.
Hospital staff then informed RCMP at 6:46 a.m. that the person had died.
The IIO says they will be investigating the circumstances of the incident.
